Security is an illusion. Life is either a daring adventure or it is nothing at all. — Melynda Czysz

After a restless night’s sleep, even though I have been afforded the luxury of an air-conditioned dorm room, it is just after 6:30am and I know that I have a long day of travel in front of me as I’m returning back to my current home of SJDS. Taking full advantage of the free coffee at La Botella de Luche, I sit alone on the couch and enjoy my kick-start of caffeine in the morning. Reflecting upon my travels thus far and the heavy thoughts of all that has recently occurred back home, I still find comfort in knowing that I have made the right choice in my life, even as hard as it may be given the circumstances, but I also knew that if I had not pursued this dream in my heart that it would have been one of life’s greatest regrets for me. While my presence may be in Costa Rica, my thoughts are certainly back home in Colorado. Pausing to look at my watch, the time is almost 7am and I have a bus to catch. Pulling my small rucksack over my shoulders I walk past the colorful courtyard surrounding the hostel that has a small pool in the center, that unfortunately I never made my way into mainly because I already have access to an even larger pool at the Surfing Donkey, but enjoyed this very tranquil hostel that I’d suggest a visit to while in Tamarindo.
