Once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but it played out over and over again in the quietest chambers. The mind can never break off from the journey.
– Pat Conroy

Since the British girls had left at sunrise the previous morning for a seven day sailing adventure to Belize, each of us quickly move to new real estate–claiming the much desired bottom bunks below our respective beds–I feel more at ease with the knowledge that it is a 2-foot drop to the hard stone and mortar floor as opposed to a possibly bone crunching crash. Wishing we had another day at El Retiro and cursing our one night stop in Coban, we feel the need to get moving since I am trying to make it to Poptun, Peten by mid-week and Char and Tim have less than two weeks before returning to Vancouver.
