Life is all about being a participant and not a spectator in the arena of life, even though some may disagree with this statement by declaring that we are all participants, however, I have witnessed those that lazily fail to take advantage of all that life has to offer. I am truly grateful that whether in the end I will have tasted victory or defeat, I do know that I will be able to proudly stand and say that I gave it my best and pursued a dream, instead of being one of the many that wish they would have done more with the life they were given. I know that many have told me that I have helped to encourage them by evaluating their life and the dreams they hope to achieve and I couldn't be happier by this as I feel as though this great adventure is already beginning to produce exciting results by inspiring people to explore more than just the normalcy that so often becomes our lives.
A renewed vibrancy within my soul has begun as I relish in all of the emotions that continue to flow through me with eighteen days to departure and without a doubt, senioritis has struck on every level. You can't see it, but I'm wearing one of the largest smiles as I contemplate an entirely new pace of life. In spite of the fears and doubts that exist, I am reminded that change is never easy, but overcoming and succeeding is what matures us into stronger individuals, it is what we do with this metamorphosis that truly defines us as a person. So the question begs, are you on a path to becoming victorious or are you in the midst of defeat?
