Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle. – Christian D. Larson

Patiently waiting for changes to occur in the air, debating whether I will be staying in Nicaragua or making a push south towards Panama and the highly anticipated South America, it’s coming up on decision time and the restlessness that I am feeling is beginning to grow. Over the past several weeks there have been ongoing discussions regarding potential opportunities to stick around this ultra chill beach town, and I am hoping that with a new month approaching, with it will be changes that could determine where I will be in the next several weeks or possibly longer. The good news is that it appears the wet season is behind us along with the torrential rainstorms that often left our room with more than two inches of water covering the floor, and even better news is that I received my first overseas package from Colorado. Thanks again mom! It’s funny that when life is broken down to pretty simplistic measurements that a package containing new boxers and gym shorts is an event to celebrate. The days continue to roll from one to the next and the new faces that I tend to meet for either short or longer periods of time always amaze me. The international backpackers continue to emerge from around the world and lately it has been an Aussie, Damien or Damo, a South African, Simon, and pair of Scottish mates, Dave and Kiernan, and to break up this sausage fest is Nat and Mandy who are from Canada and Thailand/Australia. In addition of the awesomeness of our group, the decision for a beach day is planned a few nights before to Playa Hermosa since the girls have rented a nice SUV and apparently are in charge of planning the day’s festivities that will end with a bonfire on the beach. Sunday funday here we come!
