If life would be easy, where would all the lessons and adventures be?. — Judith Morales-Kim

The rainy season feels as though it is upon us as the torrential downpour begins just after 7pm and is continuous and steady throughout the rest of the night. Unsure about venturing out in this weather, I have promised to meet a couple from LA that I had met the previous night while enjoying another sunset on the beach with another new friend Omeed, who is a recent MBA grad from Harvard–Ill tell you, the people you meet and the stories that is their own life path is still pretty amazing to me, especially when you think of how and where you’ve met in life. Dante and Trishia, walk in to meet me several minutes late, but because I know the owners of Republika, I’ve enjoyed arguing the upcoming NFL season, especially with Cory since he’s an avid member of Raider Nation. Sad. Pathetic. Grossly horrific. All of the above, for his poor choice to stick with the black and silver, and I have expressed this many times to him. The night is filled with conversation and laughter as Trishia and I continue the current topic at hand, and since she is a huge Minnesota Vikings fan and her husband is an insane Giants fan, there is plenty to discuss and the hours begin to fade into the night. Just before 10:30pm, I bid these new friends goodbye as their taxi is waiting to take them back to their resort about 15 minutes away from SJDS, and I have pulled my dark green rain jacket on over my head and am ready for the quick walk home.
