The journey not the arrival matters. – T.S. Elliot

It is 8am, and I feel as though I should be working hard for detention as we sit in a small air-conditioned classroom. School is back in session and our teacher is a tall drink of water in the form of a half Honduran and half British guy with a colorful accent and backwards straight bill cap. Holler, all y’all ballers. Feeling quite gangsta myself, I start free flowing in class and before long people are pounding on the table creating beats, waving their hands in the air like they just don’t care, and spontaneously busting out break dance moves as if it’s their job. Not quite. What do you think this is, high school musical ghetto edition? No, these are just some of the random thoughts that fill my head in my helpless distraction of the highly entertaining PADI videos that we are required to watch. My previous career in television has allowed me to appreciate the production quality, or lack thereof, in educational videos. Snobbish? I know, but I also know that my favorite editor back at HDNet, THE Mr. Kelly Porter, would agree that one of our biggest pet peeves is the lack of attention to detail and pride in post from lazy editors. Pound it Kelly, I feel ya son. See, I’m still resorting back to my ghetto fabulous nature that comes from spending too many nights with Schlimmy aka Darkness.
