You know more of a road by having traveled it than by all the conjectures and descriptions in the world. – William Hazlitt

Many people often ask, why I travel and what's the purpose? Well, often it's to find organizations such as this that inspire me to help others! Especially as I sit here in the hot and humid Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh and I can see the desperation in others living in poverty willing to sell their own children. I hope to get involved while I'm here, but just by spreading awareness I've found that this is just as an important aspect of this lifestyle—of a backpacking vagabond—that makes me feel as though I am out interacting with the world and sharing photos, videos, stories, of things that ARE HAPPENING around the world! I'm not out here acting as a Mother Theresa, but I've found that whenever I can do something for others, such as buying a woman and her 4-year-old son a coke even when we offered to buy her water, she said, "no, it's too expensive." How sad is that! When a bottle of water is $1 and a can of Coke is only .50 cents. So I just wanted to implore those out there to try and get involved in making a difference in someones life.
